In this text I will emphasize three points, which make the Barranquilla culture have a certain impact with the Swiss culture, the first point the individualism, the Barranquilla population likes to be aware of what is going on around them, to be in contact with people regardless of whether it is not their incunvence, on the other hand Swiss people do not like getting involved in others’ problems. A common saying is "One washes his dirty laundry in the family." People will not interfere if you're in trouble. It's not because their hearts are made of stone; but these are people who had nothing but mountains, industry and poverty going for them 150 years ago. They're a very self-reliant people and don’t blindly expect everything to come from the state or from others. "Heaven help those who help themselves" may seem like the motto. This is true for the most part. The idea of starting a conversation with a stranger seems unnatural, but there are regional variations.
And finally, the last important point, the cleanliness, the Barranquilleros, we are very carefree about environmental pollution, but the Swiss, on the other hand swiss produce some of the lowest amount of waste per capita in the world, but they don't shout and get loud about that fact. The Swiss prefer things clean & in order.
